About Counseling prior to Traveling to Japan
Overview
We offer a pre-travel counseling service to help international patients determine whether surgery at our hospital is appropriate before coming to Japan. Through this service, you can consult with one of our surgeons in advance regarding the feasibility of surgery, possible surgical options, and an overall treatment plan based on your medical condition and provided medical information.
Counseling is available in one of the following formats:

Eligible patients
Patients who meet all of the following criteria are eligible for the counseling prior to traveling to Japan:
- Patients suffering from spinal disorders, such as back or neck pain, numbness in limbs, etc.
- Non-Japanese nationals living abroad who are considering coming to Japan for treatment
- Those who do not qualify for the Japanese National Health Insurance
Fees
Payment should be made via bank transfer or PayPal. Fees vary depending on the payment method.

Items to be submitted
The following medical information should be sent via email or postal mail.

* All image data must be provided in DICOM format (standard medical image format). We do not accept Jpeg or bmp format.

Sending your medical data
Information on how to send medical data and make payment will be provided. Please follow the instructions to submit your medical data and complete the payment procedures.
Preparation for online consultation
We will coordinate the date and time of your consultation, your attending doctor, and preparations for the web meeting.
If you choose a written response, please allow approximately one week for the our reply.

Online consultation / Written response by email
The doctor will conduct an online consultation based on the medical information you have provided. The doctor will discuss whether or not you can be treated by our group, and what treatment options would be suitable for you.
Travel arrangements
If the results of the online consultation indicate that you can be treated by our group, we will make arrangements for your travel to Japan and treatment schedule.
